Brief

When parent company WPP merged global ad agency J. Walter Thompson and digital agency Wunderman to form ‘Wunderman Thompson’ a consolidated website was needed.

Process

Working closely with Daniel Bonner - Global Chief Creative Officer and William Rolt - Global Client Development, we consolidated a large number of different JWT and Wunderman websites into one. This was a challenge as there were a high volume of pages to consider and we had to ensure the complexity of the organisation wasn’t reflected on the website. I audited the many websites from both companies. We then worked through the architecture to simplify it, collaborating closely with the senior stakeholders allowing for a quick and smooth decision-making process.

Once the IA was agreed on I created wireframes in Sketch and a low-fidelity prototype in Invision. The prototype was invaluable in gathering feedback quickly and reducing the number of meetings needed to move forward. I worked closely with the Creative Director who designed the website to ensure the designs met high user experience and accessibility standards.

WPP has since merged Wunderman Thompson and VMLY&R to form the entity VML making the industry’s largest creative company.
